Temporary Guild Forum

Due to the abscence of Key guild members, we have lost the ability to elevate
new members from 'member' to 'confirmed member' status. Additionally,
existing members due to be elevated cannot be elevated either. This aspect
of guild business is on hold until further notice.

The matter of guild business that is granting access to new Eclectic Electric
customers to the Eclectic Electric Violet Wand Manual will temporarily be handled
on the guilds alternate forum, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/violetwandguild/
If you have recently purchased an Eclectic Electric Violet Wand, please join this group and request a manual in a post so that we can get a manual to you, and keep track of your status so that when elevations are resolved we can place you at the correct level.

Local Capital Area Chapter

A vote to form a local Chapter for the Washington D.C. Capital area has been passed.

The president for this local chapter is Darkelectric, who also holds office as the President of the International. The Chapter will operate under the Guild Charter and Bylaws and Code of Conduct.

The International Violet Wand Guild Cabinet Officers for 2006 have been elected by formal vote. Please congratulate Darkelectric, President, and Voobwig, Vice President, and assist them in the performance of their duties for the coming year. Your support will be greatly appreciated.

Cabinet Treasurer duties will continue to be performed pro tempore by Dralion, Guild Exchequer, and Cabinet Secretary duties will continue to be performed pro tempore by Murlach or elected officers as needed.

Downtime advisory

We had a good time at Vesago in Philly on July 1, for First Fetish Friday. We set up shop with our good friends and beta-testers, Joe of Darkelectric Productions and Su.

One of the high points of the evening was discovering that my metallic yarn dreads were super conductive, and every time they were touched by the violet wand current, my whole head lit up with shooting sparks which travelled up and all over the dreads and fizzled on my scalp. It made for some interesting effects. (as well as 'mood' lighting.)

Thanks to everyone who stopped to say hi (and try out a wand) and especially to Dr. Octopussy!
